Industrial Research in Advanced Characterization and Robotic Disassembly of Electric Vehicle Batteries for Digitized Circular Management
Nutai participates in the CAREBAT project: Industrial Research in Advanced Characterization and Robotic Disassembly of Electric Vehicle Batteries for Digitized Circular Management

NUTAI, in collaboration with Omnielectric under the coordination of the Automotive and Mobility Cluster of the Valencian Community – AVIA, is participating in the CAREBAT project. The objective of this project is to acquire scientific-technological knowledge by conducting and industrial research in advanced battery management techniques at the end of their first life. It involves the development of advanced engineering for characterization and disassembly, incorporating data treatment and analysis technologies, and digital traceability. The goal is to consolidate and strengthen the value chain of electric vehicles in the Valencian Community.

The project’s outcomes will result in the definition of a highly digitized and automated methodological process, allowing used batteries to have a second life in other energy uses. Additionally, a market research study will be conducted covering both battery manufacturers and the technical specifications of discarded products.

The project is funded by the 2023 call for Innovative Business Groupings (File Number AEI-010500-2023-98) from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINTUR).
