Technical recycling of electric vehicle batteries
The project, carried out by the consortium formed by the Valencian Automotive Industry Association (AVIA), the Technological Institute of Energy (ITE), and NUTAI, confirms that the recycling of electric vehicle batteries is an immediate necessity. Therefore, a project has been developed aiming to study the industrial process capable of automating and digitalizing the recycling of EV batteries for application in other sectors, such as renewable energy.
The project is funded by the 2020 call for Innovative Business Clusters (File No. AEI-010500-2020-164) from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR).
The total grant amount awarded to the consortium that developed the project is €123,809, of which €84,498 corresponds to NUTAI.
