CAREBAT

Industrial Research on Advanced Characterization and Robotic Disassembly of Electric Vehicle Batteries for Digitalized Circular Management

Nutai junto a omnielectric y AVIA participan del proyecto CAREBAT

NUTAI, together with Omnielectric and under the coordination of the Automotive and Mobility Cluster of the Valencian Community – AVIA, participates in the CAREBAT project. This project aims to acquire scientific-technological knowledge and conduct industrial research on advanced techniques for managing batteries at the end of their first life cycle, developing advanced engineering for characterization and disassembly. It incorporates data processing, analysis technologies, and digital traceability, consolidating and strengthening the electric vehicle value chain in the Valencian Community.

The project results will culminate in the definition of a highly digitalized and automated methodological process that allows used batteries to have a second life in other energy applications. Additionally, a market study will be conducted covering both battery manufacturers and the technical specifications of discarded products.

The project is funded by the 2023 call for Innovative Business Groupings (File No. AEI-010500-2023-98) from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism (MINTUR).
